Despite reports suggesting he had inked a deal with Juventus, AC Milan schemer Andrea Pirlo has stated he would like to stay at the Rossoneri.
The Italian is out contract at the San Siro this summer and Juventus have been keen to persuade Pirlo to sign on the dotted line in Turin. But the player himself is not yet sure what his next move will be, though readily admits he could end up staying at Milan.
"I hope to stay at Milan, but there’s no news so far", Pirlo told Milan’s TV channel.
The 31-year-old is still tipped to leave Milan, with no deal yet agreed with the Rossoneri. Juventus are thought to have made Pirlo a lucrative offer, but a switch to Turin would mean no Champions League football next season for the Italian.
Staying at Milan however would offer Pirlo the opportunity to defend the side’s Serie A title and try to win the Champions League.
