Jose Mourinho could be ready to shake up the summer transfer market as he eyes a remarkable reunion with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
According to reports from Spain, Mourinho is keen to take the Swedish striker he worked with so successfully at Inter to Real Madrid, believing Ibrahimovic would welcome the chance to shine in La Liga.
The Swede is currently on loan at AC Milan from Barcelona, having failed to make an impression with the Catalan side. Milan can make Ibrahimovic’s move permanent for €24M, something they are set on doing after the player was instrumental in helping the Rossoneri to win this season’s Serie A title.
And according to El Mundo Deportivo, this could tempt Mourinho to make his move. The Portuguese knows that Barcelona would be unlikely to let Ibrahimovic move to the Bernabeu, but if Real Madrid deal with a Milan who have bought the player, then the possibility becomes a very real one.
But in order to tempt Milan into letting Ibrahimovic go, Mourinho would have to offer something more than just money in return, and it is here where the deal could become interesting.
It is thought the Portuguese is considering offering former Milan favourite Kaka in part-exchange for Ibrahimovic. Kaka missed most of this season through injury and has struggled to reproduce the stellar form he showed with the Rossoneri in La Liga.
