Dubai-based club Al-Wasl have pulled off a coup with the appointment of Diego Maradona as the side’s new coach.
The Argentina legend has been looking for a return to the game, but few could have guessed it would have come in the Middle East. Maradona was most recently linked with the job of San Lorenzo boss.
But it is Dubai that will witness the return of Maradona to the dugout.
The former Argentina coach, who led his country at last summer’s World Cup, has inked a lucrative two-year deal with Al-Wasl and is looking forward to beginning his coaching career once more.
