2008 and 2009 Russian Premier League champions Rubin Kazan are eyeing a sensational double swoop on Spartak Moscow for Brazilian duo Welliton and Ibson.
Welliton has been superb since pitching up in Russian football, scoring for fun and generally winning a whole host of plaudits for his play. Midfielder Ibson is another tipped for great things and were Rubin able to snare the pair then it would undoubtedly be a huge coup.
And according to Russian source Sport, the agent Jorge Machado is working overtime to make the deal happen.
The moves would be a blow to Spartak, but with the former kings of the Russian game ready to shake-up their squad when a new coach is appointed, the sale of the pair may make sense to finance other moves.
