Eintracht Frankfurt have wasted no time in reacting to their relegation from the Bundesliga by sacking coach Christoph Daum.

The former Fenerbahce boss was not able to keep Frankfurt in the German top flight, finishing 17th in the 18-team league.

"In long talks with Chief Executive Heribert Bruchhagen, the decision was taken to attempt promotion with a different head coach", read a statement on the club’s website.
