Scottish giants Celtic are sniffing around Feyenoord winger Diego Biseswar according to reports from Holland.

The 23-year-old has featured regularly for the Rotterdam side in the club’s Eredivisie campaign, but Celtic have been alerted to the fact that there is just one year to run on Biseswar’s contract at De Kuip.

And despite the fact that a formal bid has yet to arrive, the player’s agent believes that something involving the Scottish club is afoot.

"I know something is happening", said Biseswar’s agent Jeroen Hogwerf to Voetbal International.

"When there’s smoke, there’s fire, but that’s all.

"Something will materialise only if an agenda is drawn up. And as far as I know Celtic have not yet been in touch with Feyenoord."

Feyenoord have also not yet opened talks on a new deal with the winger, leading to further suggestions that the Rotterdam club could indeed be willing to sell Biseswar this summer.

"The decision is up to Feyenoord", commented Hogwerf.

"What is certain is that Diego has one year on his contract and he’s still young. We’ll see how everything goes."
