Barcelona B coach Luis Enrique has denied that he has been in contact with Atletico Madrid over managing the side next season. The highly rated young coach is set to leave the Catalans’ B team at the end of the current season and has attracted no shortage of admirers.

Chief amongst these is Atletico, where current boss Quique Sanchez Flores should move aside at the end of the current La Liga campaign.

A move for the former Barcelona and Real Madrid midfielder would be an interesting option, and one Luis Enrique himself admits could well appeal.

"Every day there are new candidates that come out [for the Atletico job] and now it’s my turn", said the Barcelona B coach, before adding: "There is no negotiation or agreement with Atletico."

The Spaniard also confirmed he is concentrating on the task in front of him in his current job.

"Atletico is a good option because it’s a great club and an excellent opportunity to coach in La Liga, but for now I still have three games with Barca B."
