Liverpool are thought to have a transfer budget of around £50M available to spend this summer and reports from Spain suggest the Reds have not given up hope of tempting Barcelona striker Jeffren to Merseyside.
The 23-year-old forward-cum-winger has stated his determination to stay at the Camp Nou and continue to fight for a first team spot, despite continuing to only make fleeting appearances for the Blaugrana.
The Reds though have not given up hope of persuading Jeffren to join Kenny Dalglish’s summer revolution.
And with an estimated £50M to spend this over the transfer window, Dalglish has the tools at his disposal to make a real splash in the market.
Any move for Jeffren would be just the start, with the Scot keen to add further world-class talent throughout the side, while not damaging the progress of a number of youngsters he has nurtured this season, including John Flanagan, Jack Robinson and Jay Spearing.
