Edinson Cavani has praised Napoli and believes the southern Italian side will once again fight for the Serie A title next season. The Uruguayan goal-machine recently inked a new contract keeping him at the San Paolo until 2016 and warding off interest from a number of big clubs.
26 goals in 35 Serie A appearances has understandably turned heads across Europe, but Cavani is focused on doing well with Napoli.
"I think we’ve only seen good things done, the Champions League is a dream for me", explained the Uruguayan.
"My family feels wonderful in Naples and I want to do well here.
"My first dream was to win the Champions League.
"My last year, from the World Cup to with Napoli has been a dream, but next season I will fight to bring something more to these people. We will try again to fight for the Scudetto. I thank the president and all the staff, but especially the people of the city.
"When a person hears this affection he wants to repay it, that’s why I extended my contract with Napoli."
