Despite increasing interest from AC Milan in his services, Napoli schemer Marek Hamsik has gone on the record as stating his happiness at the southern Italian club.

Napoli in no way want to sell the Slovakian attacking midfielder, but should the player himself angle for a move then a switch to the Rossoneri and Milanello would become a possibility. At present though Hamsik is focused only on Napoli.

"I am proud to play for Napoli", explained Hamsik.

"I am impatient to hear the Champions League song.

"When president [Aurelio] de Laurentiis says that he won’t sell me you must believe him. As far as I am concerned, I said that Milan are a great club, but that I am happy at Napoli."

It is unlikely the Rossoneri will be put off easily from trying for Hamsik, but should De Laurentiis stand firm, it also looks unlikely that Hamsik himself will push for a move.
