Following confirmation from Sergio Aguero that he wishes to leave Atletico Madrid in order to progress his career, the Spanish side are already well advanced in their thinking about a replacement.

While nothing has yet been agreed for the Argentine, his admission that "the time has come" to leave the Vicente Calderon, is set to spark a summer transfer scramble for his signature. And Atletico are confident of realising a big fee for a player under contract until 2014.

On the Spanish side’s list as potential Aguero replacements are FC Porto duo Falcao and Hulk.

Both strikers have impressed Atletico with their run to Europa League success with the Portuguese outfit and also in winning their domestic league without losing a single game.

While Porto would be reluctant to lose either, a big-money offer from an Atletico side flush with cash from the sale of Aguero could well be difficult to turn down.
