Atletico Madrid have spoken to Juventus about want-away striker Sergio Aguero as the transfer speculation surrounding the little Argentine hots up.
Aguero has confirmed that he is looking to leave Atletico this summer, feeling the Madrid-based side can no longer match his ambitions.
There is set to be substantial interest in the 22-year-old, but according to the Spanish side’s director general Miguel Angel Gil Marin, Juventus are the club being talked to at present.
"I talked to [Giuseppe] Marotta", Gil told Radio Marca, confirming talks with Juventus have begun.
The news indicated that Aguero is not placing a desire for Champions League football at the forefront of his thoughts, given that the Bianconeri have not qualified for next year’s edition.
There had been a suggestion that it was a hunger to compete in Europe’s top club competition was driving the Argentine to press for a move.
