English midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker and Norwegian striker John Carew headline the list of players released by Premier League side Aston Villa.
The Midlands club are looking to shake-up their squad this summer and to this end have chosen to let ten players at the end of their contract leave Villa Park.
Reo-Coker and Carew are joined by Moustapha Salifou, Robert Pires, Issiah Osbourne, Harry Forrester, Arsenio Halfuid, Durrell Berry, Ellis Deeny and Calum Flanagan.
Former England Under-21 captain Reo-Coker is known to have admirers in Italy and could well end up in Serie A, with Napoli the keenest of a bunch of clubs from the country.
Giant striker Carew will also be an attractive proposition on a free transfer, while 37-year-old Frenchman Robert Pires is expected to head to North America’s MLS for one final swansong.
