Turkish Super Lig giants Trabzonspor have raised their bid for Ajax striker Mounir El Hamdaoui as they bid to strengthen their side for an assault on next season’s Champions League.
El Hamdaoui is available from Ajax for the right price and has already been linked with a switch to Trabzonspor’s rivals Galatasaray. However, the Istanbul club are unable to offer to Moroccan Champions League football and this could well sway the former AZ striker.
The Black Sea Storm have increased their offer for El Hamdaoui to €4.5M, a figure which is sure to appeal to Ajax.
The biggest question mark though is over whether El Hamdaoui sees his future in Turkey, with the player thought to be settled in Holland.
