Cristiano Ronaldo has brushed aside any talk of a potential move away from Real Madrid by declaring himself happy at the Spanish giants.
There had been speculation that Manchester City could mount an astonishing €180M swoop for the Portuguese, but Ronaldo is not thinking of leaving the Bernabeu and wants to remain in Madrid.
"I am happy at Real", said the forward.
"I want to win trophies with the club and I certainly do not intend to leave."
The news will be music to the ears of Real Madrid fans, with the former Manchester United man a key part of coach Jose Mourinho’s plans for next season.
And the task that awaits Ronaldo in the 2011/12 edition of La Liga could not be any bigger – overhauling a Barcelona side that have been labelled as one of the greatest sides in the history of the game.
