Bayern Munich have completed their expected double swoop for goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (from Schalke) and full back Rafinha (from Genoa).
The Allianz Arena club are in the midst of a serious rebuilding programme as they seek to overhaul Borussia Dortmund in next season’s Bundesliga and also make an impact in the Champions League.
"I’m really looking forward to the massive and exciting challenge of playing for Bayern", Neuer told the club’s official website.
"Many of my new colleagues in the national team will now also be team-mates in Munich, so it’s won’t be entirely new territory for me and I’m sure I’ll settle in quickly."
Neuer has inked a deal running through until 2016 at the Allianz Arena.
"I’m delighted my transfer to Munich has worked out and that I’ll be playing in the Bundesliga again", said Rafinha, who only moved to Genoa last summer from Schalke
The Brazilian explained his target is to "finally win the trophies I’ve been denied so far.
"I’ll now be facing the best teams and the best players in the world and I’m very happy."
