Juventus are considering a swoop for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema in case they fail to snare first choice target Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid.
The Bianconeri still want to take Argentine hitman Aguero to Turin, but are well aware that a number of other clubs have their eyes trained on the player, making any transfer far from done and dusted.
Therefore, according to reports from Spain, the Italian side have begun to make discreet enquiries for Real Madrid man Benzema.
While the Frenchman improved his game at Los Blancos in the second half of the season, it is still by no means certain that the former Lyon man has convinced coach Jose Mourinho that he is worthy of a place in the starting eleven.
Mourinho may yet decide to cash in on Benzema and allocate the money received from Juventus towards another striker.
