Lille goal-getter Moussa Sow is set to disappoint a whole host of European clubs, most notably English side Newcastle United, by snubbing a move away from the Ligue 1 champions this summer.

The French league’s top goalscorer for the 2010/11 season, Sow was a vital part of the side that brought only the third title of their history back to Rudi Garcia’s side.

Along with Eden Hazard and Gervinho though, Sow had been tipped to move on to pastures new, with no shortage of interest in his services.

Most recently Newcastle boss Alan Pardew was pushing for a deal to be done, with the Premier League club’s manager rating the Senegal hitman highly.

However, Sow is not willing to play ball over a move and wants to remain at Lille, where he will enjoy Champions League football next season.

"My intention is to extend my contract with the club", said Sow.

"Next year we will play in the Champions League and I want to continue to grow in the shirt of Lille.

"Soon I will speak with the club, but my thinking is clear."
