Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo has gone on record as stating that, if he leaves Turin this summer, he would like to head to La Liga.

The Brazilian has often been disappointing for the Bianconeri since joining from Fiorentina and it has been speculated that Juventus may move the player on this summer. And were they to do so, then Melo has no doubt which country and league would be his first choice – Spain.

Melo has been linked with Arsenal, the side Juventus beat to his signature back in 2009, as well as Borussia Dortmund and Schalke. For the midfielder though, a switch to England would be his final option, and Spain, where he turned out with Mallorca, Racing Santander and Almeria is preferred.

"England would be a last option", said Melo to Globoesporte.

"I really want to return to Spain.

"It’s still a distant dream because I have a contract with Juventus. In football however, you can never say never, because everything can change so quickly.

"Everything will depend on if the management put me on the market or not."
