Jordan Henderson completed his move to Liverpool from Sunderland yesterday and declared that he believes he has joined a club on the up.
The 20-year-old has moved to Anfield in a deal worth up to £20M, with the possibility that striker David N’Gog could head to the Stadium of Light as part of the agreement.
For Henderson, when Liverpool’s interest became known, there was only one outcome, and he joins a club that he believes can achieve great things under Kenny Dalglish in the next few years.
"There is a lot to achieve", Henderson told the club’s official site.
"It’s a massive club and we’ve seen over the past few months how good they are. So I’m just coming here to learn and try to improve my game and I’m sure that along the way there will be a lot of happy memories."
And the midfielder, who is due to compete with England in the Under-21 European Championship starting this weekend believes that there is no limit to what the Reds under Dalglish can achieve.
"Liverpool’s definitely the place to help me come on as a player and improve me.
"The club is going in the right direction and it can go as high as it wants."
