French defender Patrice Evra is determined not to get carried away with Manchester United’s record-breaking 19th top flight title.

The Red Devils moved one ahead of bitter rivals Liverpool by winning last season’s Premier League, but full back Evra is keen for the achievement to just represent one step on a successful journey rather than the destination itself.

It is something the Frenchman has to remind himself of, due to encountering constant praise from supporters for being part of the 19th title-winning side.

"Every time you’d go to a restaurant or walk down the street this season, the fans would talk about the 19th title", Evra told Inside United magazine.

"But I want to say to them now: We’re not finished yet.

"This is just the beginning.

"I know Manchester United can win more titles and we have to keep on doing that. Of course, this is a great achievement and we’re very pleased to be part of it, but we have the players and the quality to win more than 19."
