Cristiano Ronaldo would welcome the arrival of countryman Fabio Coentrao from Benfica, insisting that the full back is the best Portuguese player in Portugal, and backed other stars Los Blancos have been linked with.
Real Madrid are closing on a deal for Coentrao after coach Jose Mourinho admitted wanting to add the Benfica man to his squad this summer. The transfer is expected to comprise a cash sum and two players moving in the opposite direction.
The arrival of Coentrao is one Ronaldo would be happy about.
"Fabio is the best Portuguese playing in Portugal", Ronaldo told El Partido de las 12.
"He would be a great signing. Good guy, very ambitious and runs a lot."
The Portuguese star also commented that Neymar and Sergio "Kun" Aguero, who have both been linked with Real Madrid, would be good additions to the squad at the Bernabeu.
"Kun Aguero and Neymar would also be welcome at Real."
With Ronaldo desperate to beat Barcelona in La Liga next season, the forward is hopeful that Los Blancos will continue to strengthen their side.
