Legendary Dutchman Ruud Gullit has been sacked as coach of Russian side Terek Grozny.

The former Chelsea manager had been handed an ultimatum, with victory demanded from today’s trip to fellow Russian Premier League side Amkar Perm.

But a 1-0 defeat at Perm ensured that Gullit was packing his bags; he lasted just give months in Grozny.

Gullit had earlier been slammed by the Russian press, with criticism pointing to his liking for partying late into the night, rather than working overtime to arrest Terek’s slump.

The Dutchman leaves Terek 14th in the 16-team Russian top flight.
