Atletico Madrid have turned down Galatasaray’s offer for forward Jose Antonio Reyes.
The Turkish side had been hopeful of signing the former Arsenal player and believed that Reyes was keen on a move to Istanbul.
However, the Spanish outfit were unhappy at the bid placed on the table by the Turkish club and have decided to decline it.
While Reyes is available from the Vicente Calderon at the right price, Atletico are determined that he will not leave for less than their valuation.
A similar situation occurred with Diego Forlan after another Turkish side, Besiktas, believed they had secured the Uruguayan hitman, only to be unable to meet Atletico’s asking price.
