Diego has not ruled out the possibility of remaining within the Bundesliga, despite deciding with Wolfsburg boss Felix Magath that he should leave the Volkswagen Arena.
A bid of €10M will be enough for Wolfsburg to sell the Brazilian playmaker they paid €15M to secure from Juventus last summer, and at such a price there should be much interest in Diego’s services.
But even if the former Werder Bremen man has yet to receive an offer from within the Bundesliga, he is not ruling out remaining in Germany if one does arrive.
"I had no problems with the club and the fans. I was open to anything. Now the solution is to seek a new club", explained Diego to Sport Bild.
"Maybe I’ll stay in Germany, which is not out of the question. But so far no German club has spoken to me. The coming days will make the picture clear."
