Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng is crossing his fingers and hoping a proposed move to Bayern Munich comes to fruition.

The Germany international has been targeted by Bayern, but the Bundesliga giants are unwilling to pay City’s asking price of €20M. It has even been mooted that the Germans could instead move for Barcelona’s out-of-favour centre back Gabriel Milito at a much more affordable €6M.

Boateng though hopes that a resolution can be found as he remains desperate to turn out at the Allianz Arena.

"I must be patient", said Boateng when asked about how his proposed move to Bayern was progressing.

"I hope we can find a solution quickly, and I think we can conclude the deal."

Boateng well appreciates the prestige attached to turning out for Germany’s biggest club, especially having played in the Bundesliga before with Hamburg. Bayern though will not be held to ransom.
