Arsenal are seriously pondering the possibility of moving for Bayer Leverkusen starlet Arturo Vidal.

Sources in Germany suggest that the Gunners are ready to become involved in the race for the midfielder’s services if Leverkusen are willing to cash in on the 24-year-old.

Vidal made waves this season with a fine campaign in the Bundesliga and has shown the kind of constant progression which has attracted scouts aplenty to the BayArena. Leverkusen have always been adamant though that they do not wish to sell the Chilean.

However, the German club cannot dismiss the suitors lined up for the former Colo Colo schemer, with AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Napoli all interested in his signature.

And now Arsenal can be added to that list, with Arsene Wenger ready to go toe-to-toe with other interested parties to secure Vidal.

While Leverkusen at present remain steadfast in their determination to keep Vidal however, bidding starting at €15M will be difficult for the Bundesliga outfit to ignore.
