French striker Nolan Roux, who has been attracting interest from Liverpool, Schalke and Marseille, looks closer to deciding his future – and it could be in the Bundesliga.

While Liverpool and Marseille have considered their position over the 23-year-old Brest forward, Schalke have been active and bids have been made for Roux.

Schalke first offered €4M, which was turned down by Brest, and then indicated they could up that to €6M. However, the French club are still insisting on €8M and not a penny less.

Roux however, according to L’Equipe, has already agreed personal terms with Schalke and is happy to move to the Bundesliga – boosting the Ruhr side’s chances, with just a transfer fee to be finalised.

One reason for the French club’s stubborn attitude over the deal is that Roux’s former club Lens are due 50% of any transfer fee for the striker, making Brest all the more determined to extract exactly €8M from any buying side.
