Turkish giants Galatasaray have confirmed that they have begun negotiations to take Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano to Istanbul.
The former UEFA Cup winners are working hard to bring big names to the Turk Telekom Arena this summer and the ex-Sevilla hitman has risen to the top of their list.
The 30-year-old only returned to Brazil in March of this year, with Sao Paulo shelling out €7.6M for the striker and signing him to a four-year deal.
However, talk of a return to Europe began to surface almost as soon as Luis Fabiano touched down in his homeland and Galatasaray believe that a bid of €10M, which would represent a swift profit for Sao Paulo, could be enough to buy the hitman.
The Brazilian was prolific with Sevilla in La Liga and regularly emerged as a target for Europe’s biggest clubs. Indeed, AC Milan came close to signing the player last summer.
