In-demand Benfica full back Fabio Coentrao had a falling out with club coach Jorge Jesus in training last week.

Coentrao, coveted by a number of clubs, chief amongst them Real Madrid, was ordered to work harder during the session by Jesus according to E Corrieo de Manha. The full back was then involved in an exchange with the coach and promptly left the pitch.

The Portuguese international is not tipped to start next season at Benfica and could, understandably, have his thoughts elsewhere.

Coentrao is one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets this summer, but the player and Real Madrid have been frustrated that no deal has as yet been able to be agreed.

Los Blancos had looked close to snaring the player, offering cash plus out-of-favour winger Royston Drenthe.
