Liverpool are ready to battle Fulham and Valencia for Barcelona striker Jeffren.

Reports from Catalan daily Sport confirm that the three clubs hold an interest in Jeffren and are on the verge of stepping this up given suggestions that Barcelona will allow the 23-year-old to depart for the right price.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has already sent a bid of around €8M to the Camp Nou, although Barcelona are likely to want more than this amount.

The European Champions look set to make a decision over Jeffren’s worth over the next few days, but will not sell the striker if the bids on the table do not match their asking price.

Jeffren’s attitude to a switch also remains unclear.

The 23-year-old had been mooted as a makeweight in Barcelona’s deal for Udinese forward Alexis Sanchez, but Jeffren was unwilling to consider heading to Italy.

Liverpool and Valencia however would represent attractive moves for the man who scored eight goals in 23 appearances last season. Whether the English giants or Los Che will be willing to pay the amount Barcelona demand though remains to be seen.
