Bayer Leverkusen have warned Bayern Munich that they have no chance of signing talented Chilean Arturo Vidal this summer, with the BayArena outfit only considering bids from abroad.

The Bundesliga club are desperate to keep hold of the 24-year-old midfielder, but accept that Vidal is attracting serious attention from across Europe and would leave for the right price. A series of fine displays in the 2011 Copa America would only increase speculation over his departure.

But even if Vidal’s exit cannot be completely ruled out by Leverkusen, they remain adamant that he will not strengthen domestic rivals Bayern Munich.

"If we sell him it will only be to a foreign club", said Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voeller to Kicker.

"If we receive the right offer, he will leave, but for the moment he remains a Bayer player. I have received no offers."

The news will be a blow to Bayern Munich, where new coach Jupp Heynckes, who bossed Leverkusen last season, remains keen for the Chilean international to join him at the Allianz Arena.
