Liverpool have officially announced the signing of midfielder Charlie Adam from Blackpool.
The amount the Reds have paid for Adam, and the player’s contract length at Anfield, have not been disclosed, but the swoop represents success for Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish, who had initially targeted the Scot in the January transfer window.
"I am absolutely delighted to be here", Adam said to Liverpool’s official website.
"It has been a long process but now I can’t wait to get my career started and hopefully this will be a successful period in my career and in the club’s history.
"Liverpool is a massive club with terrific players and a terrific manager."
Having completed their move for Adam, Liverpool are now expected to turn their attention to Aston Villa winger Stewart Downing.
The Reds had a £15M offer for Downing rejected earlier this week and are ready to return with a bid closer to the £20M Villa are demanding.
