La Liga side Malaga have expressed an interest in Wesley Sneijder.
Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini has instructed his superiors to sign the Dutchman if it is at all possible and the Spanish club, with backing from their Middle Eastern owners, would be able to make Inter a tempting offer for the 26-year-old’s services.
And with Inter having brought in Ricky Alvarez from Velez Sarsfield, a player seen by some as a possible successor to Sneijder, transfer talk surrounding the former Real Madrid man has once again begun.
Sources in Italy suggest that Malaga have informed Inter that they would pay €35M for Sneijder if the Nerazzurri were willing to consider cashing in on the midfield schemer.
However, it remains unlikely such an offer would tempt the Serie A giants into selling and even more unlikely Sneijder would agree to a move to Malaga.
Nevertheless, interest from the Spanish side, who have splashed the cash on Ruud van Nistelrooy, Julio Baptista, Jeremy Toulalan and Joaquin, stands as testament to their continued ambition, while the club also have the financial resources to back it up.
