Wesley Sneijder’s agent has confirmed there is nothing concrete to report about the Inter man’s future as yet, but he does believe the race for his services could heat up as the summer drags on.

The Dutchman has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United, while Manchester City would also surely register an interest if Sneijder became available. News also emerged of La Liga upstarts Malaga indicating they would pay a big price to capture the schemer.

"It’s not so strange", said the player’s agent Soren Lerby to Voetbal International when questioned about the high degree of interest in Sneijder.

"But I think for the big clubs it’s still too early to act definitively.

"But I can say now that Wes has a contract with Inter until 2015 and currently there’s nothing concrete."

Inter’s swoop for Argentine midfielder Ricky Alvarez has been viewed by some sections of the Italian press as the Nerazzurri preparing a successor to Sneijder if the Dutchman leaves.
