Another two Arsenal players have moved closer to the exit door after being omitted from the club’s 23-man squad for the tour of Asia.
Both Manuel Almunia and Nicklas Bendtner are the players in question, with French midfielder Samir Nasri, the subject of much transfer speculation, on the plane.
A Gunners spokesman confirmed that Almunia and Bendtner had been left behind to discuss potential moves away from the club.
Spanish shot-stopper Almunia has slipped behind Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski in the pecking order at the Emirates. While his potential destination remains unknown, sides from his homeland have been linked with swoops for the 34-year-old.
Striker Bendtner meanwhile has long been expected to leave the Emirates this summer after growing disillusioned with his failure to become Arsenal’s first choice striking option.
A number of clubs have mooted moves for the Dane, including Bundesliga duo Bayern Munich and Hamburg.
