Liverpool striker Milan Jovanovic could opt for a return to Belgium this summer.
Jovanovic has been told he can leave Anfield on a free transfer and is currently weighing up his options.
The Serbia international has already been linked with a move to Olympiacos after the Greek side registered an interest, but after admitting making a mistake in choosing to head to Anfield last summer, Jovanovic is ready to take his time over his next move.
But Belgium, where the forward’s stock remains high from a four-year spell with Standard Liege, is an option, with giants Anderlecht interested in taking the 30-year-old back to the Jupiler League.
"Yes, I met Anderlecht and it’s interesting", admitted Jovanovic to Sport Magazine.
"They impressed me. The exchange was really instructive."
Jovanovic, nicknamed "the snake" due to his quick dribbling and fleet-footedness, enjoyed a fine time in Belgian football and a return would see him back in the comfort zone.
