Saint-Etienne defensive midfielder Blaise Matuidi has revealed that he is attracted to the idea of turning out for Paris Saint-Germain next season.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs in the current transfer window, with Arsenal, Newcastle United and Liverpool all mooted as interested parties.

But a move within France could be a more realistic possibility, with newly rich Paris Saint-Germain emerging as a serious destination.

"PSG is attractive", said Matuidi to Le Parisien when questioned about the possibility of a switch to the capital.

"Paris would allow me to take a new course. It is a great club that could attract any player.

"PSG have a good project that has to happen and it will be stable very quickly."

Saint-Etienne are looking for a basic €13M for the midfielder, with a further €2M in add-ons.
