Javier Pastore’s agent has revealed that a move for his client to AC Milan, Chelsea or Inter is not close, and floated the idea of the Argentine remaining at Palermo for another season.
Pastore wants to leave the Aquile, believing the time is right to quit the Serie A club, but president Maurizio Zamparini, who rates the 22-year-old in the same bracket as Lionel Messi, has been adamant that he will only sell the attacking midfielder for €50M.
And this price tag appears to have stopped interest from Milan, Chelsea and Inter, all known to be tracking the Argentine, dead in its tracks.
"President Zamparini has set his price at €50M, a valuation with which I totally agree", said Pastore’s agent Marcelo Simonian.
"We both know Pastore’s potential, so we are not in a hurry. And Javier is not anxious to leave either.
"He could remain for another season in Palermo and be happy.
"In any case, I can say that there has been no contact with Inter, AC Milan and Chelsea."
