Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero is attracting serious attention from English Premier League trio Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 24-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a first choice option at the Bernabeu under Jose Mourinho, despite his undoubted ability and potential, and a move away from the city of his birth could well be welcomed by Granero.
According to Madrid-based daily Marca, Real Madrid have become aware of interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, with Harry Redknapp’s side furthest along the line towards making an official bid.
Spurs are expected to send an offer of €15M to Real Madrid in an attempt to steal a march on their rivals and snare Granero, although negotiations with Los Blancos are expected to be tough and the Spanish giants could insist on a buy-back clause.
Such a clause was used to bring Granero back to the Bernabeu in 2009 after the former Real Madrid youth teamer had been sold to Getafe – Los Blancos paid €4M to see him return.
Granero featured 32 times for Real Madrid last season, mainly appearing from the bench, but picking up a Copa del Rey winners medal in the process.
The Spaniard is under contract with Jose Mourinho’s side until 2013.
