Sergio Aguero has repeated his desire to quit Atletico Madrid and explained his agents are working overtime to ensure a transfer is concluded.

In recent days Manchester City have emerged as a potential destination for the striker, with the Citizens’ interest dependent upon the sale of wantaway forward Carlos Tevez.

Juventus though also remain a serious suitor, with the Bianconeri having kept in touch with Atletico Madrid from the moment Aguero declared his intention to quit the Vicente Calderon.

"My agents are taking care of my transfer", said Aguero when asked about the slow progress of a switch away from his Spanish side.

"I don’t know when an agreement will be found. Now I am concentrating on the Copa America."

But Aguero repeated his determination to quit the club he joined in 2006 from Independiente.

"In any case, I have said it many times, even officially – I want to change clubs."
