New Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo is making Santos midfielder Ganso his number one target.

The 21-year-old is currently starring at the Copa America with Brazil, but looks set to have a big decision to make about his future when the tournament concludes.

Leonardo is well aware that PSG’s opposition for Ganso’s signature will come from his former club, AC Milan, however the French side have greater spending power than the Rossoneri, who instead hope that the midfielder will prefer a switch to Serie A over Ligue 1.

PSG are thought to have informed Santos that they are willing to pay €30M for Ganso, but the signs are this may well have to be increased.

40% of the Brazilian’s economic rights belong to his agent, meaning Santos can only do so much. Under contract until 2015, it is thought only €50M would leave all parties with no choice but to sell.

More realistic however is a transfer fee of €40M combined with some tough negotiation.
