Roma’s new American owner Thomas DiBenedetto has warned the club’s fans that it could take time for the Giallorossi’s new breed to show what they can do.

DiBenedetto has placed the focus at Roma squarely on youth, even appointing a young coach in the shape of former Barcelona B boss Luis Enrique.

This has been combined with youth on the pitch as Erik Lamela (19), Jose Angel Valdes (21), Loic Nego (20) and Bokan Krkic (20) have all landed in the Italian capital.

And this has left DiBenedetto telling the Giallorossi faithful that they must give the youngsters time to settle in and adjust to life at the club.

"We have a large amount of high level talents", said the American, "but they are still very young and young players make mistakes.

"We have to be patient."
