Real Madrid supremo Florentino Perez is due to meet Neymar’s father to accelerate the arrival of the young Brazilian at the Bernabeu.
According to Brazilian daily O Globo, Perez will meet the player’s father in the coming days, well aware that his family have remained unsure whether the time is right for Neymar to move to Europe.
Indeed, Neymar’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro has intimated that the final decision over the striker’s future will be made by the player in close consultation with his family.
A fee for Neymar should not be problematic, with Real Madrid already having agreed to meet the €45M buy-out clause after Perez met with Santos’ president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira in Paris last week.
There had been suggestions that Neymar was keen to move from Santos only after the 2012 Olympic Games, where he expects to compete for the gold medal with Brazil.
However, this idea was rejected by Real Madrid, who want to have the 19-year-old at the Bernabeu as soon as possible.
