Italian side Palermo have received an offer of €500,000 for their Romanian defender Dorin Goian.

Reports via Italian source Sky Sport 24 have confirmed that the Scottish giants have placed a bid on the table for the 30-year-old, though it is unknown what reception it has received.

The Romanian centre back joined Palermo in 2009 after a four-year spell with giants Steaua Bucharest.

Goian has also featured for the Romanian national team, picking up 37 caps thus far.

The centre back had cost Palermo €2M to snap up from Steaua, with the player earning €550,000 per season at the Serie A side.

Goian made 22 appearances for Palermo last season, eight more than the 14 he had clocked up in the 2009/10 campaign.
