Roberto Mancini Slams Mario Balotelli Antics Against LA Galaxy

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has slammed striker Mario Balotelli for playing around in a pre-season friendly against Los Angeles Galaxy.

The Italian hitman was clean through on goal but, instead of choosing to launch a shot at the net, dragged the ball back before backheeling it wide of the goal.

It was a stunt which did not go down well with Mancini and the City boss hauled Balotelli off.

"I hope this is a lesson for him", said the City boss.

"If you are serious, you can play 90 minutes.

"If not, you can come and sit by me on the bench."

City won the match, which finished 1-1 in normal time, on penalties, 7-6. But it was Balotelli’s antics which dominated the game, with the crowd jeering the 20-year-old.
