Paris Saint-Germain are ready to trump AC Milan in the race for Brazilian midfielder Ganso.
Neymar’s Santos team-mate has been tracked by the Rossoneri for months, with an expectation in Milan that the player should land in Serie A in January. That would allow Ganso to compete in the Club World Cup with Copa Libertadores winners Santos, with the trophy a goal of both Neymar and the midfielder.
But, led by former AC Milan and Inter coach Leonardo as their sporting director, PSG are prepared to ensure they jump ahead of the Rossoneri for the 21-year-old.
And the French are prepared to break the bank to do so.
According to L’Equipe, the Parc des Prince outfit are willing to go as high as €40M to ensure that the Santos midfielder heads to Ligue 1.
That would give Milan a challenge in matching such a high bid, but the Italians may instead count on Ganso’s desire to move to Italy.
The midfielder has stated on several occasions that he hopes to play in Serie A and Italy’s top flight may tick boxes France’s Ligue 1 cannot.
