England were handed a World Cup qualification group including Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and San Marino in an outcome that will have pleased the country’s football association as the 2014 World Cup qualifiers were drawn in Brazil.

Elsewhere in the draw for European qualifying, holders Spain were handed a five-team group, which, although containing one side less than other groups, still has France amongst its members.

Italy also came out with a tough looking draw, with the Czech Republic, Denmark and Bulgaria all set to line up against the Azzurri.
