Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has revealed he is unhappy with life in Manchester und stoked the fires over a possible return to Italy.
Balotelli only joined Roberto Mancini’s men last summer, with the ex-Inter boss paying his old club £24M for the highly rated 20-year-old.
But Balotelli endured a troubled season and has continually been linked with a move back to Italy.
"I’m not happy in Manchester. I do not like the city", said Balotelli.
"With my team-mates and the manager everything is fine, but the city is not to my taste.
"I miss the chance to be at home with my family and my friends."
Despite Balotelli’s statement it seems unlikely he will head back to Italy this summer.
Long term though the forward undoubtedly sees his future in his homeland and not England.
