Roberto Mancini has revealed that striker Craig Bellamy can go on loan to Celtic with his blessing.
Bellamy spent last season on loan at Championship side Cardiff City, but as the Welsh club failed to gain promotion to the Premier League, their hopes of keeping the 32-year-old ended.
And now Bellamy, who enjoyed a loan spell with Scottish giants Celtic in 2005, has been linked with a return, with Hoops boss Neil Lennon admitting that there have been talks between his side and Manchester City.
And Mancini is clear that if an agreement can be reached, Bellamy could go.
"If Celtic want Craig, he can go", the Italian told BBC Sport.
"Craig is a good striker and he can play at Celtic, because they’re an important team."
Given the Welsh striker’s wages at Eastlands, it seems clear however that City would need to subsidise the deal, with Celtic unwilling to pick up the entire tab.
